Task 1 – one point perspective 1. Draw a light horizontal line across your page. 2. Draw an X in the middle of this line. This part is called the vanishing point. 3. Draw 3 squares. On above the line, one on the line and one below. Use a pencil and rule to do this. X 4. From every corner that doesn’t go into the shape, draw back to the vanishing point with a straight line (construction line). 5. Draw a parallel line between each construction line to cap off the side. This will make the 3 D shape. Complete the other 2 shapes.

Perspective example Vanishing Point Horizon Line All parts of this image go back to the vanishing point from the train line to the tops of the trees. We know the train tracks do not come to a sharp point in the distance but our eyes make it look like they do.

Task 2 – Street view in 1 PP 1. On a new page, draw a horizontal line just above the middle of the page – turn your book landscape for this. 2. Add a vanishing point in the centre of the line. 3. Draw an upside down V to mark where the road will be. 4. Draw a rectangle at the end of one side of the V, this is the side of your house. 5. Draw a triangle on top to create the roof 6. Follow the rule. From each corner that doesn’t go into the shape go back to the vanishing point 7. Add parallel lines to make a 3 D house https: //youtu. be/a 8 QWy. Ir.
