Year 8 Art and Design Lesson 4 Summer Term 2 Illustration Content: This term the Art links and follows on from the work completed this year based around the proportions of the face. Students have learnt how to use proportion guidance to accurately draw the face features in the correct place. The skills of applying these proportion guidelines were then transferred into a Cultural Mask project where students learnt the process of designing masks for different purposes and from different cultures. The design process will be combined with knowledge of the proportions of the face in this project. In lesson 4 students will recall previous knowledge of using the gridding method to draw an image in scale. Learning Objective: To recreate a section of an artists work. Tasks: Watch the video about Banksy Artwork linked to the work that our NHS staff do. View the street art from around the world linked to Covid 19. Draw a section of a piece of artwork, this is an artist re-creation. Video link: https: //www. youtube. com/watch? v=4 jiq. P 5 XEIp. E – Banksy Artwork
