Support for students prior to starting Year 7 • Transition begins in Term 3 of Year 6 with visits to Primary schools to gather information about students. • Progress Support Meetings are held with parents. • Pre-Orientation Visit – During Term 4 of Year 6, visits are made prior to the official Orientation Day.
Support in Year 7 • For students who struggle with regular classroom expectations their class work is adjusted, as are Assessment Tasks and Semester reports. • Students whose learning/social/emotional needs cannot be met by the regular curriculum will have Personal Learning Plans developed by subject teachers, these will specify term/semester goals. • Classroom support – Learning Support Officers • Program Support Meetings are held each term with Parents. 2020 Year of Compassion “The Lord is good to all; He has compassion. . . ” Psalm 145: 9
This support continues at each year level. In addition we offer: A variety of assessments which can give us information on the individual’s specific needs; these include individual assessments of cognitive ability, literacy and numeracy tests. Application for Enrolment Form MUST be signed by BOTH Parents/Guardians and mailed to the College at PO Box 40, Taylors Lakes 3038, marked to the attention of Samantha Beg, Enrolment Officer, or emailed to: office@crcnk. vic. edu. au The requirement to have the Parish Priest sign the application form has been waived during the current COVID-19 restrictions. 2. School community In 2018, Catholic Regional College North Keilor moved towards forming closer and more productive relationships with our key stakeholders, in particular, our Priority Parish Primary Schools.
