What is the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC)? Determines whether pupils can fluently recall their times tables up to 12. On-screen multiplication tables check. Consists on 25 questions. Each child has 6 seconds to answer each question.

How does it work? Similar format to the ‘Soundcheck’ game on Times Tables Rock stars.

When is the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC)? It will be administered for children in Year 4, starting in June 2021.

What will happen with the results? Your child’s score will be shared with you in their end of year report.

What are we doing in school to prepare? Daily times tables practice. Times tables games. Times tables rock stars lessons (online) Times tables songs. ‘Mock check’ will be taken before June.
