Day 1 - Grammar Today we are going to recap prefix and suffixes!

Day 1 - Grammar Look at the words at the side and decide whether they are a root word or have a prefix or suffix about put them in the correct column.

Day 2 Reading Comprehension! Task 1 - Read the book Task 2 -Create a prediction! Today you are going to read a chapter from our new book ‘Code Cracking for beginners’ Then your task will be to write a prediction about what you think is going to happen in the story!

Answer the questions below in your home book and use the text to help you answer the questions .

Day 2 - Task 2 In your work books, write a prediction based on what you have read so far in the story! Example. I believe that ______________ is going to happen because _________________________ tells me this information which makes me think……. .

Day 3

Last week you started to create a list of your characters, setting and created your own word bank to help you write your story.

Today you are going to start writing the beginning of the story as to how the Norse Myth began! If you need to remind yourself you can listen to the story again! The beginning of the story stops when the giants and Gods make a deal about building the wall. Example Once upon a time there was a land of the Gods called Asgard. The Gods were very protective of their land often had to defend it from the giants who would try to destroy it. REMEMBER to use your writers tools including adjectives, adverbs, capital letters and punctuation such as full stops and exclamation marks.

Yesterday you created your first paragraph of the story! Spend some time now reading through it to remind yourself of where you are at. Check that you have included capital letters and full stops in addition to adjectives, conjunctions and adverbs. Example Once upon a time there was a land of the Gods called Asgard. The Gods were very protective of their land often had to defend it from the giants who would try to destroy it.

Today you are going to create the middle of the story explaining what happened after the Gods and Giants made a deal about building the wall. Stop writing your middle when you meet Svalidafare the Horse. Example Once upon a time there was a land of the Gods called Asgard.
