Topic – Pioneers Lesson 1 – British Space Pioneers
Both of these astronauts are from Britain and they are pioneers – find out why? Then create a fact file about them. Helen Sharman Tim Peake
Topic – Pioneers Lesson 2 – What would you take into space?
Imagine that you are an astronaut, what would you take into space with you? Try to use the conjunction ‘because’ to explain why you would choose them.
RE What did Jesus say about how to treat others?
RE Class rules What are our class rules? Why do we need class rules? Which ones do children find easier or harder to keep? Which ones are about how we treat others?
RE What is the job of a teacher? People call Jesus a teacher too. He may not have taught Maths and English to a class of children every day, but he did teach lots of things and these are written down in Christians’ holy book, the Bible.
Sermon on the mount https: //youtu. be/Ze 7 w 3 -BL 3 OM Jesus said… Do not be angry, make up quickly and forgive each other. Act out being angry and making up. If somebody is nasty to you, don’t be nasty back. Be kind instead. Act out your ‘nasty’ and ‘kind’ faces. Love everybody. Even love people who do not love you. What does ‘love’ mean? Treat others the way that you would like to be treated. What does this mean?
In each of this situations think about what Jesus’ teachings mean a Christian might do? Ø You are going out to playtime when you notice that your friend can’t come with you because he hasn’t finished tidying the book corner yet. Ø Simon never helps you with your work and now he is stuck on his maths. Ø Your sister has unwrapped your birthday present.
