Year 11 History January Mock Exams What exams will I do? Sitting three exams will allow you to practice the full suite of GCSE exams and will give us the opportunity to give you a GCSE grade. You will sit three exams, the same as in summer Paper Topics “We are not makers of history; we are made of history” - MLK Time Date 1 British Medicine Through Time 1 hour 15 mins 18/1/21 The papers are topics that have not yet come up on the summer exams and are a great opportunity to show off what great historians you have become these last 5 years. 2 The American West 1 Hour 20/1/21 We are giving you this information 6 weeks early so you have plenty of time to plan your revision. 3 Weimar & Nazi Germany 1 hour 20 mins 27/1/21 The below revision topics are ones that could come up in your mock exams, but not all of them will, like in summer. Your teacher can mark/annotate for you Use the revision clock method. Spend a short time reviewing a topic, test yourself (quiz/exam question) and check it against notes. Make your brain work hard Create a flow diagram, mindmap, self quiz, Cornell Notes or use flashcards from memory Need help?
