Year 10 Term 5: HISTORY Week 2 – Tensions Between Settlers and Plains Indians A) Brainstorm as many reasons as you can think of for why there would be tension between white settlers and the Plains Indians. B) In order to try to prevent this tension escalating into a war between Plains Indians and settlers the US Government made agreed a treaty with the Plains Indians.
