F. A. Qs Why do PPEs take place after a half term? We do

F. A. Qs Why do PPEs take place after a half term? We do this to replicate the actual exam series which takes place over June half-term, in order for students to manage their studies. Is the summer learning optional? We expect students to complete all of the learning, managing their time through the summer and maintaining a balance of learning and relaxation. Can parents have details of the actual work, students are set, so that we can see what they should be completing? Yes: we will publish on the website and send home as a PDF, via email. Do we know what is happening with next year’s exams? Yes and no! Ofqual have launched their consultation and it is likely that content will be reduced, but exams will go ahead. Subjects will adjust curriculums accordingly, for September. Can we still buy revision guides? Yes, contact Mrs Hedges and she can help you buy what you need. We are INSPIRED

F. A. Qs Continued Will there be any 1 -2 -1 parents’ evenings for

F. A. Qs Continued Will there be any 1 -2 -1 parents’ evenings for in Year 11? Yes! We are currently reviewing the updated Government guidance for Covid-19, to determine whether these will be face to face or virtual, but there will be scheduled opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with their class teachers. Is there a list of exam boards, so we can buy the right revision guides? We will place a list onto the website, by the end of the term. Are there revision guides for Computing? Not yet. They were originally not ready, as the course is new; this has been delayed further by the pandemic. Mr Richardson will continue to check and we will communicate with those students, should anything be published in time. How long should my child spend revising each day? The recommendation is to revise in chunks (age plus 5 minutes) and then take a short break. It is about the quality of the revision, rather than the quantity and we would not encourage students to be revising endlessly, every day. Little and often! We are INSPIRED
