Wednesday: Literacy Here is an example of a letter. First read the letter. Can you find all the punctuation? Remember you are looking for full stops, capital letters, exclamation marks and question marks. Put a circle around all that you find. Tell your grown up the name of the punctuation you have found. Dear Grandma, I hope you are ok? I miss seeing you and Grandad every day. I am writing you this letter to tell you about what I have been doing at home. Today I have been doing my school work which has included maths, reading and writing. I read a story about animals which I loved because I enjoy learning new facts information. There was a picture in the book of a beagle and it looked just like your dog Grandma because it has brown and white fur. I have also been out in the garden this afternoon because the weather has been sunny and hot. Mum and I went looking for insects. I saw a beautiful peacock butterfly it was very colourful. It even had purple on it’s wings and that’s my favourite colour! After that me and mum went for our daily walk. We walked 3 miles! When we was walking I heard lots of birds singing. Mum says we will skype you on Saturday at 2 pm. I hope that is still ok? Lots of love Poppy
