November 2017 Education Quality and Performance Update. Postgraduate Medical Education CMG Education Leads for CSI: Dr Will Adair (Imaging) and Dr Nelun Perera (Clinical Support) MADEL Funding for £……. . ( £ 12, 400 placement fee per trainee per year x 64 trainees*) * Q 4 16/17 LDA figures. Placement fees- Supervision costs, study leave, education facilities, 2017 GMC Survey Sept 2017 UHL Survey( see page 4 for more detail) 16 respondents from Imaging. The survey is generally positive in all domains (content, atmosphere and organisation). Full survey is attached for Imaging and Clinical Support (Appendices 2 &3) GMC survey CMG Actions- ( Radiology action plans attached as Appendix 1) • Radiology have reviewed the Educational Governance questions/ responses and augmented induction information and communication with trainees 16 respondents from Clinical Support. The survey is generally positive although the question below suggests that ‘atmosphere’ may be an issue in Histopathology

Stage 3: Writing the paper • • • Briefly outline the background to the case Outline key objectives of the case Ensure you align to strategic objectives Describe your proposal Illustrate with data i. e GMC survey etc
Stage 4: Writing the paper Include an Options appraisal ? and a recommended option State benefits and gains or doing the project State the risks of doing the project/not doing it Costs – take care to find out from the right people • Get this right with help of Finance ! • Do you need any other resources – staff etc • •

Presenting your case • Use a “story” if possible • Take a trainee, fellow with you to give an example • This is very powerful • Make it an interesting pitch • Be concise and clear re key issues and questions you want an answer to …. What are you asking the Board to do ?
