WHAT IS IT? • Component 2 a is ALWAYS a causation question • Regardless of wording, what caused the event referenced in the question?
WHAT YOU DO • Explain significance…why was the cause important to the event in the question • Evaluate how important it was
• Write 1 paragraph per cause • Most important cause should be 1 st paragraph. State that it is the most important cause and why. You don’t have to be correct just support your stance
• If there are many causes, group them. • Political • Economic • Military • Social • Etc.
• You only need 2 well supported causes • Dates and sequencing prove your content knowledge and can help add up points.
• Be obvious what you are doing! • [event from prompt] was due to [cause]. Then explain • [Cause] was the most important cause of [prompt]. Then explain.
• Get right in to writing, don’t waste time on introductions and fluff. • Actual writing time should only be 15 minutes for each 2 a.
