Okay here’s a good one
The climates of Eastern and Western Washington have striking similarities as well as differences. Western Washington rarely falls below freezing as well as rarely breaking 100 degrees. While Eastern Washington enjoy summers with temperatures ranging above 100 degrees and in 2014, 35 days with a temperate below freezing. While one climate never truly gets cold or unbearably hot, the other demonstrates a large swing in temperature. This shows a major difference in the climate for the two areas as well as dynamic impact on the vegetation and livelihood of the people. However, a similarity in the two halves of the state is that the Coastal range causes the temperate weather of the West while the Cascade range creates a rain shadow keeping the East dry. Both sides of the state have mountains that impact their weather. While there may have other influences concerning their weather development, the Cascades affect the entire state of Washington. Eastern and Western Washington share noticeable similarities in what affects their weather, they differ greatly in terms of weather they experience.
