Saturday – What a wonderful day! (Example recount) On Saturday during the weekend I had a fantastic day. It contained the most unbelievable of events, and included my family, a special friend an unexpected creature. The first thing I did was wake up, and drove to the supermarket to buy some breakfast. My car drove extremely smoothly, despite the torrential rain. I couldn’t help giggle as it glided through a huge puddle effortlessly. Next I arrived in Morrisons, and noticed the most delicious, mouth-watering cereal in the world, Honey Nut Cheerios has 75% off and was just £ 1. 00. I also bought a massive bar of Dairy Milk chocolate. I quickly sped home, and enjoyed it in just 15 minutes after my Cheerious. I was stuffed. Suddenly, upon finishing my feast, a deafening noise caught my attention. It was the repeated tapping of my door bell. I jumped up from my chair and went to see who it was. I rapidly opened the door. It was Alex, my friend from University. He was ecstatic to see me!
