What is a Concluding Sentence? � A Concluding Sentence ends the paragraph. It restates the topic sentence in different words. It sums up the information in the paragraph.
Concluding Sentence Explained � Pretend that your paragraph is a sandwich. The two slices of bread hold all the details inside – the peanut butter, the jelly, the pickle slices. The top slice of bread is like the topic sentence. The bottom slice of bread is like the concluding sentence.
Example: Concluding Sentence Kacy decided she needed a new hobby. She thought about different things she could do. She thought about collecting toothpicks or paper clips. Maybe she could start making quilts. Kacy finally decided to write a family history as her new hobby. g din u l e nc Co ntenc Se
