Wrenches are needed literally for everything. They fit in a small space where no other tool would fit. I usually prefer a ratchet wrench because it is a lot easier to use. Half of the wrenches are lost most of the time, especially 10 mm wrench, It gets frusturating to try to always find them. Usually in a wrench set, there is 8 -24 mm wrenches.

Ratchets There is usually three sized ratchets, The small one ( 1/4”), The middle sized (3/8”) and the big one (1/2”). Ratchets are a good choise for almost every job, you can use them for alomost everything. The hanlde has a good grip so you can use a lot of power to twist bolts and nuts. You can’t use ratchets without sockets, they belong together. There all sized sockets, but the most used ones are between 8 -24 mm.

Tire machines are very important tools. You can remove the tire from the rim, and install the new tire. The balancing machine balances the rim, you do this after chancing the tires, always. You have these little weights that you put in the edge of the rim and those balance the wheel. Unbalanced wheels often shakes the steering wheel and makes driving the car feel awful.

Oil filter wrenches Oil filter wrench is very important. Oli change is the most common job you do. Almost every car has its own sized oil filter, so you need many sets of wrenches. There also universal models. Universal models aren’t as good as the intended ones. You use this tool to open or remove the oil filter.

Hammer is one of the most used tools. You use hammer to almost everything, straightening dents, hitting other tools to open bolts etc. There are many sized hammers, big ones which is called sledge-hammer, smaller ones to hit soflty. There also rubber hammers to hit smoothly and for not breaking anything.

Screwdrivers are too, one of the most used tools. There are many types of screwdrivers, and many sized ones. Phillips, flatheaded and the torx are the most used ones. Screwdrivers get lost easily because you use them so much.

Welding machines aren’t used as much as you’d think, but they do come handy after all. You can weld exhaust pipes or holes made by rust. It takes time to understand how to weld, and even more time to be good at it. Welding is a good skill to have and it will save a lot of money, even thought you need to buy the welding machine first.
