WP 3: RF measurements and RF tuning of RFQ 2 • Main objective of

WP 3: RF measurements and RF tuning of RFQ 2 • Main objective of WP 3 is to bring the low power RF performance of the RFQ 2 to its nominal design performance. It includes: • RF simulations of the RFQ to determine the nominal design values for the dipole rods, tuners, pumping ports, RF plugs and coupler • Design and construction of the new tuner system • Consolidation of the bead pull system • Design(if necessary) and fabrication of RF antennas • RF measurements of the individual modules • RF measurements and tuning of the fully assembled RFQ • RF calibration of the RFQ coupler and antennas after tuning including documentation Linac 4 Spare RFQ - 8 December 2020 3
