Way to go all PRIMARY CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNERS! You all made Worsley very proud at Friday’s Fun Run. Thank you for showing such awesome team spirit and determination as you ran your races. And a BIG thank you goes to all of your coaches for their time spent training you for the run. Also, thank you to the school community for showing their support, and to the Office Staff for their continued support for our school activities. Last but certainly not least, thank you so much to Mr Bax, Mr Steeves, and the student volunteers who helped set up, martial, and rabbit/turtle the race, as well as hand out food and ribbons to the runners. We could not have had the FUN RUN without you. WAY TO GO WORSLEY!!!
Environment Club: This week is Waste Reduction Week in Canada! Here at Worsley we consume a lot of resources, and generate great amounts of waste daily. We are working towards reducing waste by doing things like. . . using both sides of the paper, photocopying less, using reusable water bottles instead of disposable ones, recycling/composting our trash, and encouraging litterless lunches. Our clothing swaps and scrap metal drives are also wonderful events that have helped to combat waste and increase awareness. As a class, brainstorm what you can do at school and at home to help to reduce waste! Environment Club members will be visiting all classes at some point this week to give presentations on waste disposal at Worsley. Please give them your attention and respect when they come to your class! Environment Club members working on posters please have a quick bite to eat in your class then come to Ms. Holroyd’s room before 1: 20. GO GREEN WORSLEY!!! Go to next slide….
