What is worship?

Psalm 86: 9 -10 All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name. For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God.

John 4: 23 -24 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. "

How do we worship?

Praising. Singing. Praying. Reading. Psalm 47: 6 “Sing praises to God…. ” Psalm 98: 1 “Sing to the Lord a new song…” Matthew 6: 9 “This, then, is how you should pray…” Psalm 119: 171 “May my lips overflow with praise…”

Telling others. Worshipping together. Psalm 96: 2 -3 “ Sing to the LORD, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. ” Psalm 34: 3 “Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. ”

Our lives! Romans 12: 1 “Therefore, I urge you, …. to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice…”

Sum it up. Worship is anything we do to show God we love Him. Worship is from our hearts. True worship is based on revealed truth about God from His Word. We can worship anytime, anywhere, by ourselves, or in a group. WORSHIP IS WHAT WE WERE CREATED FOR!
