The effects of leprosy are diverse and complex; skin patches, nerve damage and sensation loss; ulcers and disabilities; along with psychological and social isolation due to fear and stigma. . nz

All: Lord, help us free people from the chains of leprosy, that they might live in your freedom Reader: Through our support, and the power of Jesus, people affected by leprosy can be cured, cared for and restored. All: Praise God. nz

A prayer for the Light of Jesus O God, may the light of Jesus shine continually to drive away the darkness people affected by leprosy face. Gracious God, the comfort of all who sorrow, the strength of all who suffer: . nz
