World History Project Social, Political and Economic impact of an event in world history.
What is the goal of this project? The goal of this project is to help students research and understand the social, political, and economic aspects of an important topic or event in world history.
Requirement for the Project 1. Power Point (16 slides) It must have the following items: - Data with information about the topic or event. - Visuals (minimum of 9 pictures, graphs, charts) related to the topic or event. - References (must have 2 references) in the end of the social, political, and economic slides. 2. Project Proposal Slip (ask instructor or download from the website) 3. Graphic Organizer (see example) 2/5/2022 3
Example of Graphic Organizer Concept Web (hard copy) It must be done on a blank sheet of paper. Ask the instructor for a blank sheet of paper. It will be due on the project due date. The Concept Web will highlight the social, economics, and political impact of the important event.
Each student will need to submit a Project Proposal Slip to let the instructor know the topic for the project. Write the following information on the slip: - Full name, period, and date. - Topic for the project. Ask the instructor for the Project Proposal Slip or download it from the website. No credit will be given without the proposal sheet!
The following topics have been done in class so we cannot use it for this project: - World War 1 - World War 2 - Cold War
What Social issues were related to the topic or event? Example of social issues: -Race (ethnicity) -Gender rights (male/female) - Religion (a major religious group with control over society). - language, music, arts
What political issues were related to the topic or event? Example: - President/leaders of the countries - congressional leaders - government leaders - laws, policies, treaties
What economic issues were related to the topic or event? Example: - Business - foreign and domestic trades - jobs, work force, salary - agriculture and food production - currency $$, money used to buy and sell goods - housing market
