What is a Works Cited Page? �As you should know, the citations you use

What is a Works Cited Page? �As you should know, the citations you use inside your essay shows where you got the information that you used to support your argument. �However, in-text citations can only tell you a little bit of the information about the sources you used. �Therefore, your Works Cited page serves to tell your reader all the other information about the sources you used. �Why does it matter? ? SO YOU DON’T PLAGIARIZE!

You should have at least three. �On each notecard, write down the information you have for each source. �Write down all information that you can, including: �Author Title Date �Website name OR database that you used (Opposing Viewpoints or Britannica Middle School) �Use your source pages or your computer’s search history to help you. �You should have at least 3 cards and you should have more than just the title for each source.

What If I Can’t Find the Info? �You may need to go back and find the article to look up the information you need. Or, if you need to cite a book from the library, you can use the database (Destiny Library Search) to find info on the book without having to go to the library.

At the top of the page and in the center type: Works Cited (11 or 12 point font, Times New Roman or Calibri) 3. Then, hit “ENTER” two times. 4. Left align again. 5. Now, you are ready to create your citations and paste them onto your Works Cited page.
