Why it is good to work out. Exercise is important to keep your body at a healthy weight. It helps people to lose weight and lower the risk of some diseases such as type 2 diabetes and blood pressure.
Different ways of working out • Weight training – Working on specific muscle groups to increase muscle mass for an individual. • Cardio – High intensity workouts with low resting periods to help burn body fat, you can also lose some muscle. • Circuit training – Using various machines in quick rotation to work on your whole body in a short amount of time. This usually helps with body toning. • Calisthenics – Working out with the use of your own body weight without using any equipment.
Diet is the main key to success • Working out without having a good or perfect diet makes your workout ineffective. • Diets are varied depending on the type of workout you are doing. • Cardio/long endurance training: High carbodydrates and calories for slow energy release over a long period of time. • Weight training: High protein and calorie for the energy release and muscle growth and repair. • Circuit training/calisthenics: Less carbs and more BCAA’s to help burn more fat and less muscle to tone your body out.
Different body types • Ectomorph Lean and long, ectomorphs have difficulty building muscle. • Endomorph Big with high body fat, often pear-shaped, endomorphs have a high tendency to store body fat. • Mesomorph Muscular and well-built, mesomorphs have a high metabolism and responsive muscle cells.
