Objectives of the My Name, My Identity The My Name, My Identity campaign seeks to: 1. Bring awareness to the importance of respecting one’s name and identity in schools as measured by the number of community members making a pledge to pronounce students’ names correctly 2. Build a respectful and caring culture in school communities that values diversity as measured by my name stories posted on social media

Who? When? The Milpitas Unified School District Family: Students Parents and Family Members Teachers, Staff, Administrators Take the My Name, My Identity Pledge during the 2016 -17 school year. Increase awareness by participating in an “action” during the 2017 -18 school year. MUSD Personnel Board Members, Community Members Celebrations in Spring of 2017 and 2018 Milpitas Residents
