WORD • Word, a word processing application is like the typewriter but more. You can type and draw. • The word project I liked the most was the Acrostic Poem. I think it was set up well and I enjoyed showing things about myself.

Power Point • The Power Point is a multimedia application where you can use text, images, sound, and video to present information. • A good example of a Power Point is my “Classroom Expectations” Power Point. I try to make things interesting without being gaudy.

Photo Story • Photo Story was designed for a quick presentation of photos. • I really learned a lot with this project. This was the first time with Photo Story and I had no idea what to do. I learned from the kids. Next time I will write better instructions and model more.

Excel Spreadsheet • Spreadsheet programs were designed for calculating information but you can create graphs and add pictures. • I liked Neptune the best. The kids had the option of what kind of graph to use so I saw a great variety of graphs.

Access, The Database • The database program organizes information using records which are made up of fields. Examples are phone books and the Library Card Catalogue. • I made an address book. Next time, I will have the kids help me develop a database and write a couple of records by hand.
