Overview H. O. M. E As part of the City of Toronto's Refugee Resettlement Program, Councilapproved the Toronto Newcomer Office entering into service agreements with community agencies to increase support and resources available to new Torontonians and their sponsors Wood. Green, along with the donated services of Deloitte and the Konrad Group, have come together to create a new online portal to match Syrian refugees in need with offers of housing, goods and services. H. O. M. E (Housing Opportunities & Marketplace Exchange) is an online portal which allows donors - both businesses and individuals - to post available housing, goods and services to help Syrian Newcomers arriving in Toronto.

Do not disclose refugee’s status with Landlords 8. sponsored refugees arriving in Canada are permanent residents 9. Landlords do not need to know the reason for permanent residences status. 10. Read carefully the terms and conditions of the lease 11. Every lease has to comply with Ontario Landlord and Tenant Act
