Women in Engineering-Society 1. World War 1 effects on women in engineering 2. Women were pressured to leave jobs so that men could take them during the war. 3. Creation of WES (Women's Engineering Society) to resist these pressures 4. World War 2 effects on engineering 5. Women's role was the homemaker 6. In contrast, the war offered more opportunities with the shortage of men in the work force. 7. Creation of SWE 8. General trend has been more participation in engineering for women. Marcus Suzuki
