With multiple Tretyakov collectors and shields • • R 1: Tretyakov gauge in DFIR: – – outer fence diameter 12 m, slat height 3. 5 m inner fence diameter 4 m, slat height 3. 0 m gauge mounted at 3. 0 m, orifice area 200 cm 2 frequency of manual observations during winter 1 per 24 hour • • R 2: Geonor gauge in DFIR (if we will get Geonor) – same DFIR configuration •

Additional Information Gaps for the winter 2012/2013: • Geonors installation may be delayed • Some minor problems with data collection and site functioning can occur • Reasons: – – – • • а) physical absence of the Geonors instrument b) there was a delay with site funding activities postponed for 2013: --- Data archive; existing Frequency of data transmission from the site to an archive (if any): Which is the reasonable frequency of data transfer to NCAR/SPICE archive to be expected during the experiment: once per month (may degrade) • • Valday will have mostly manual instruments. Will create some simple software for site personnel some GUI instead of direct file creating and will be able to avoid some mistakes. There are only three questions about data transfer: – – – • • 1) File extension (. txt, . rtf, . csv e. t. c) 2) Where and how to send (email, FTP uploading or something else) 3) Proposed format is covering 1 day data, but is it possible to create and send weekly one? Probably we're the only one site with mostly manual instruments, but it looks little bit funny to send about 10 files with couple values every day. Even if it is so - OK, not a problem, but if there will be a way to send this files once a week ore create weekly file it would be good.
