Secretariat Updates Following BD Subcommittee Meeting Dr. Jim Poisant 1. Hybrid Conference: The Secretariat assumes that the reference to Hybrid conference refers to Regional Conferences. If so, Regional Event value propositions will be presented at this meeting along with proposed hosting fee; 2. Global Business Exchange Program (GBEP): PIKOM’s is proposing an initial group of 400 registrants at no cost from 8 WITSA member countries; 3. Country Event (Multiple Trade Visit): Not fully understanding background and details on Multiple Trade visits. Secretariat request details from committee; 4. Business Excellence Certification Program (BECP): Due to the lack of interest among WITSA members this program is not active; 5. ICT Excellence Awards (Registration Fee): Business Development Committee voted on March 18 th not to charge a registration fee for ICT Awards. Other revenue sources relative to these awards will be presented at the March 24 th meeting; 6. Global Partner Program (GPP): Awaiting reports from the regional VC’s and committee chairmen. 27

Membership Update Ms. Alicia Standridge Membership Payment Update 84 Country Associations • 34 member associations invoiced thus far in 2021 • Total 2021 dues invoiced YTD $33, 500. 00 (subject to change) • Total 2021 dues collected from 6 associations as of March 15, 2021: $9, 822. 88 New Member Recruitment Efforts to increase Membership to $35, 000. 00 in 2021 as requested by the Board (shown on budget) • Updated the Why Join WITSA document to show testimonials • Vice Chair received regional spreadsheet which listed members/non-members in each country within their region: - Asking each VC to help add 2 -3 member associations in their region - Provide contact information for these association so the Secretariat’s office with the VC may start communicating with potential member associations • Follow up with each VC on a monthly basis • At present, we have had membership calls with CASATIC (El Salvador), ATIC (Moldova) and BTECH (Bahrain) • BTECH (Bahrain) has also received WCIT info for 2023, as they seem interested • We have completed applications from BTECH (Bahrain) and ATIC (Moldova) for Board review and approval • Special thanks to Munir (BCS), Tarek (EITESAL) and Robert (Brazil) for extra efforts in their respective regions. 29 Thank you for your support! www. witsa. org

Regional Events Dr. Jim Poisant Cost: $100 K to host Value Proposition: There are several reasons why a WITSA members might chose to host a WITSA Regional event. • The event will draw local, regional and global attention to their region and countries. • The country will be able to promote its ICT industry, as well as its regions capabilities. • WITSA will provide the host with sample programs accompanied by suggested content. • WITSA will provide a list of 10 potential speakers to be considered for the program. In addition, WITSA will work with the host to secure at least five of the speakers on the program. 38 www. witsa. org
Regional Events (Continued) Dr. Jim Poisant • Host country is likely to receive support from around the region. This support will include delegate registrations, marketing support, speaker recommendations and sponsorships from industry and governments. • Event hosts are likely to realize a profit from hosting a successful event. • Historically, whenever WITSA events have taken place, the respective countries increased direct foreign investments. • In the case where delegates attend the event in person, the local location will realize additional spending on lodging, food and tourism. • WITSA will provide each host with extensive marketing support, a Registration Platform to include WITSA’s Global Business Exchange (B 2 B) matching capabilities, a comprehensive Event Operations manual, speaker recommendations/contacts, and expert advice. 39 www. witsa. org
