WHO/WHAT IS ARIZONA@WORK MARICOPA COUNTY YOUTH WORKFORCE SERVICES? Our Youth Workforce Services are a Maricopa County, Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) grant funded youth program designed to assist youth 14 to 24 years old with achieving their educational and employment goals. Eligible youth will work with a Youth Career Advisor (YCA/Case Manager) to create a personalized plan for a successful future in education or employment.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE 1. Complete a HSD Registration form. 2. Create a Job Seeker

HOW TO PARTICIPATE 1. Complete a HSD Registration form. 2. Create a Job Seeker Account by logging onto Arizona Job Connection at www. azjobconnection. gov 3. Attend a Youth Services Orientation 20 -30 Minutes. 4. Sign up and complete Assessments (If Needed). 5. The Program Service Representative will schedule you for an enrollment appointment after finishing the Assessments. 6. All eligibility documents should be received prior to or by the date of enrollment. 7. Attend a one hour enrollment appointment with Youth Career Advisor. 8. Enrollment approval time frame is approximately 7 days. *Note: Enrollment approval is not the same as Training Grant approval.

Services you may receive include the following: • Tutoring , Study Skills Training, GED instruction • Alternative School Services or dropout recovery • Paid & Unpaid Work Experience • Training grants to continue your education after high school • Education offered concurrently with workforce activities for a specific occupation • Leadership Development • Supportive services that can include transportation or helping you to pay for GED testing and registration fees • Adult Mentoring • Counseling • Learn how to budget, manage your money and start saving • Classes about how to start your own business • Job searching, resumes, understanding job leads and the in demand industries • Help applying for college – exploring schools to help you achieve your goals and applying for financial aid • 12 Months of Follow-Up Services

CONSTRUCTION PILOT (AGES 18 AND UP) Phase 1: Class Training, 1 week • Preparing

CONSTRUCTION PILOT (AGES 18 AND UP) Phase 1: Class Training, 1 week • Preparing for your career • Construction math • Health and Safety • Communication in construction Phase 2: Hands on Experience • You will begin work with a local company that will provide hands on experience. During this training, participants will be paid $15 per hour. ADULT PROGRAM (AGES 18 AND UP) In addition to basic services offered at the
