Key points and the Political Reality: We may be able to get enough votes to : 1. Reduce runoff and flooding down stream in Onion Creek 2. Reduce density – and move the tallest buildings toward S 1 st street 3. Get Wayne Riddell declared a healthy street and install traffic calming devices

We their help to: • Stop more flooding in Onion Creek • Prevent Wayne Riddell Loop from becoming a Speedway Please postpone and Improve the Application for the Riddell, a 750 unit apt across from Akins HS and draining into Slaughter /Onion Creeks

Flooding and runoff are big reasons to vote against the Riddell. • The runoff from this complex could increase flooding downstream along Onion Creek downstream, water quality and impact loooding downstream, water quality and • The overall impervious cover and development intensity planned for this site should be reduced to no more than 50% impervious cover • The development should be clustered along S 1 st, away from the creek; • A public restrictive covenant should incorporate developer’s agreement to provide green stormwater infrastructure (along with biofiltration, rainwater harvesting, and rain gardens, among other options) • an increase in the volume of their water retention to mitigate downstream flooding; and • The city is committed to reducing climate change – Developer should be required to anaylize more frequent and severe flooding from climate change and design systems to capture increased runoff before approval
