Year Round Vocabulary • Tracking In – when students are attending school • Tracking Out – when students are out of school, usually tracking consists of 45 days in and then 15 days off (due to calendar and track those do vary) • Teams/Tracks - each team at each grade level has a team name and track (Example: 6/4 Toucans are 6 th grade students who are on Track 4 and their ‘team’ name is the Toucans) • Pods - the area outside each grade level group of classrooms where students gather for meetings, etc.

2018 -2019 School Year • 315 of our students are identified as Academically and/or Intellectually Gifted, or 32% of our students • 58 students are members of the National Junior Honor Society. • The Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Program provides an appropriately challenging education for students who perform, or show potential for performing, at remarkably high levels of accomplishment when compared to others of their age, experience, or environment. Services for AIG students include differentiated curriculum and instruction that extends and enriches the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
