Chronology: A record of events in the order in which they happened.
evidence: Proof
Oral history: Accounts told by people who did not have a written language or who did not write down what happened.
perspective: Point of view
historical empathy: understanding the actions and feelings of people of the past.
analyze: to break something down into parts to see how the parts connect.

Understanding Perspectives By studying objects and evidence from the past, historians can form a perspective. A person’s perspective depends on several things; age, rich or poor, male or female. It is also shaped by what you believe in.
