Why have you chosen Alternative Metal I choose

Why have you chosen Alternative Metal? • I choose Alternative Metal because I listen to most genres however personally I prefer rock and metal music and find that its better for finding amazing guitar parts. • Also I like Alternative Metal however I admit I like Nu Metal more, but after some research discovered that Nu Metal is a subgenre of Alternative Metal.

Alternative Metal is important to you, Why? I have always been surrounded with Heavy rock and metal music because even though my dad hates this sort of music and my mum likes/knows a few songs, however my uncle likes, listens and plays heavy music so me and my brother were brought up with this music in my environment. Even though I like a mass amount of bands which fit this subgenre of alternative metal there are three significant bands which caused me to immerse my self into alternative metal.

Alternative Metal is important to you, Why? There are three songs/artists which have a personal connection and meaning to me and these caused me to immerse my self within the Alternative metal seen. Evanescence has a really personal connection with me and my mother. When my family went though a dramatic changes and difficult time I discovered my mother liked evanescence. On song in particular which connects is “My Immortal” this when my father left I said to my mother that its about her and my father. So this is why I immersed my self into evanescence Linkin Park has a happier personal connection with me. A few years ago me and my father had a large conflict and it resulted in us not talking for almost a year. As we eventually started to rebuild the relationship between us we were in the car on our journey home and I was playing music outload for us and he asked to hear “In The End” and once hearing it it sounded formulary. After this I listened to more Linkin Park privately and this enabled me to discover my inner passion for Linkin Park and this type of music.

Alternative Metal is important to you, Why? Marilyn Manson is yet again a reminder and a experience I will never forget of pure excitement and exhilaration. I had started listening to Marilyn Manson and enjoyed his music. Marilyn Manson was the first official concert I ever saw, it was a birthday present from my mother for me and my uncle to go and witness. Before we went me and my uncle when to Camden as I wanted to get some clothing and get some accessories as well as just witness the beauty of the gothic scene of CAMDEN. Alternative metal is the mother genre of Nu-Metal, Industrial Metal, and Rap. Metal. I like all three of these subgenres and wasn’t sure of which to pick. However I discovered that these three genres are subgenres of Alternative Metal which also make sense as all three of this genres have aspects which are in common. So to find a solution to my dilemma I choose Alternative Metal as its like a comprises between them all.
