HOW BUSINESS CAN HELP HMG • “Think not what government can do for you but what you can do for government” • If DIT have ITAs and sectoral managers, business should create HMG focal points • Partnership is key so that HMG can improve with more knowledge from business • SMEs may enjoy the privileges of funding/access from HMG to create wealth • In return SMEs have responsibility, perhaps “a national duty to export” in line with the Prosperity Continuum and achieving security and happiness too W. CASE STUDY: PRECIOUS METALS MINE • Who? An Australian base and precious metals mine • What? Transformers are used in electric power transmission. As transformers age, they become more likely to lose internal oil. • Why? It is important for oil levels in the transformer main tanks to be full, as they act as an insulator and allows the transformers to function efficiently • How? Traditional methods of oil inspection are time consuming and cumbersome and contribute directly to increased maintenance costs. • Safesite® solution: Portalevel® MAX is the faster, better, cheaper method to test liquid levels by using ultrasonics W W W.
