Definition: Europeans were in search of unclaimed gold and riches Reason: wanted to find

Definition: Europeans were in search of unclaimed gold and riches Reason: wanted to find new trade routes, wanted to claim the natural resources (and hopefully treasure) of the New World Impact: New settlers began to harvest natural resources (ex. Fishing, lumber, new plants) to send back to the Mother countries of Europe

 • Definition: Wanted to convert the native people to the “right” religion *convert=change

• Definition: Wanted to convert the native people to the “right” religion *convert=change • Reason: God would reward them for spreading their faith • Impact: In search of religious tolerance, people left England for the New World (ex. Pilgrims, Puritans, Quakers, and Catholics)
