What You Can Do With Your Child at Home Talk about the Learner Profile Attributes and Attitudes Students will strive to be: Caring – We care about each other and the world in which we live. Knowledgeable- We explore concepts, ideas and issues that have local and global significance Balanced – We understand the importance of intellectual, physical and emotional balance. Students should demonstrate: Empathy- Having the ability to understand share in the feelings of another. Cooperation- Working together successfully to accomplish a goal. Reflect-Thinking deeply about our actions and work and how we can improve them. Success Criteria for This Unit Students will be able to explain the many ways that humans influence and shape the world around them, and explain the responsibilities that power to influence the world entails. Students will create a visual representation of a genetically modified organism and its impacts on the environment and write an essay explaining how the organisms impacts the environment.
