The Mason Moore Foundation was started by Mason’s wife Jodi, as a way to honor his legacy. The Mason Moore Foundation raises funds to purchase gear for local emergency services. The Foundation also seeks to educate the community on ways they can support law enforcement.
Current State of Affairs: There is a low level of brand awareness because the Mason Moore Foundation is less than a year old. The Foundation is new and growing, so they do not have a demonstrated history of successes vs. struggles.
Why a 5 k? The Mason Moore Foundation lacks brand community awareness. Lack of awareness = lack of fundraising Participating in a fun event + Fundraising = increasing brand awareness and benefitting the community!

Campaign Execution: Contact board of directors for event approval. Contact appropriate entities for event permits and insurance. Contact vendors, and obtain signed contracts. Contact local law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services agencies both to promote the event in the community, and work to keep participants safe. Begin social media publicity campaign about 12 weeks prior to the event to allow time for awareness, registration, and fundraising. Secure paid media, including advertising through local news and radio stations, and in local newspapers. Encourage participants to share photos, tweets, and hashtags leading up to and during the event.
