White Station High School AJROTC Program ~ Spartan Battalion • The mission of JROTC is to motivate young people to be better citizens. We do this by instilling leadership skills, offering a rich learning environment, and by giving cadets the opportunities they need to realize their full potential. • Our goal is not to recruit for the military, however if a cadet is interested in pursuing the military, we will assist with that process. • ROTC Scholarship, Service Academy, Pursue and Enlistment …) • There approximately 220 cadets in the JROTC Program. One of the largest in Shelby County.
White Station High School AJROTC Program ~ Spartan Battalion • • • LET Levels: Let 1 ~ 1 st year cadet (usually 9 th grade) Let 2 ~ 2 nd yeat cadet (usually 10 th grade) Let 3 – 3 rd year cadet (usually 11 th grade) Let 4 – 4 th year cadet (12 th grade) • • • Cadets are required to wear a uniform Maintain hair and grooming standards Physical Training Drill and Ceremony (marching) Maintain Discipline
Cadet Creed Cadets are required to recite the Cadet Creed from memory. They are given a 2 – 3 week time period to memorize it. We hold each Cadet accountable to what is stated in the Cadet Creed. It helps us to maintain discipline and it lets them know what is expected.
White Station High School AJROTC Program ~ Spartan Battalion • Academic/Curriculum (Textbooks new this year. ) We also have a JROTC Honors Class that start at the Let 2 level. Cadets must meet a certain criteria and go before a panel to compete for a leadership position.

We have held the “Best Unit” title for the past 3 years.
