The tone and quality of your whistle can easily effect the perception the coaches

The tone and quality of your whistle can easily effect the perception the coaches and fans have of you as an official.

How Loud? You want to make the volume of whistle as loud and as

However if there is a lot happening in the venue, you may need to blow as loud as you can and perhaps slightly longer to get the attention you need.

Unfortunately you have no air in your lounges to make that happen effectively. So try to anticipate when you are going to need to blow your whistle and “Fill-er-up” so you can “Get-er-done”

If you need to get a player’s or coach’s attention a simple soft “Too.

If you need to get a player’s or coach’s attention a simple soft “Too. T-Too. T” may do the trick. Some times you may need to repeat the “Too. T-Too. T” but in most of these cases you want to try and not bring the attention of everyone in the venue to the person you want to communicate with.
