SUSTAINABILITY • Treat it as an academic/retention program NOT a club • Divide out expenses and have various departments or budgets “sponsor” specific activities • Incorporate into a class/course – academic interventions • Work with grants and foundation officers to look for solicited AND unsolicited opportunities • Use “loaned executive” approach to secure a campus coordinator(s) • Move the needle on matriculation/persistence • Have public awards and celebrations to showcase student success
