Where does our food come from? Our food come from the supermarkets which get food from local producers and from all around the world. What are the environmental impacts of transporting our food? What is the globalized food? The globalized food is the food which is produced in one land to be exported in another. Thus we can find any type of food at any moment.
What are the « globalized » ingredients and where do they come from ? Often, the globalized food is the fruit, like oranges which come from southern countries ( Spain and Morocco for example ). The vegetables are imported in France most of the time they come from Central Asia.
What does it mean and imply ? + We can have fruits and vegetables in any seasons There are economic impacts because of transportation. The French producers lost money because their production is not bought.
What is Green Food? Green food is organic food which is made without pesticides and GMO ( genetically modified organism). So it's healthier and tastier than other food and it's better for the environment because green food preserves it and is more respectful with it. Why is organic food more expensive? Organic food is more expensive than other food in a supermarket because there are less agricultural returns than ordinary agriculture and the farmers gain more money than ordinary farmers. Besides, organic food needs less machines but instead of using more labor, and it takes more time to grow because of the growing cycle being less stimulated without pesticides.
