SEXUALITY: PULL-OVER JERSEY ‘She wore a pull-over jersey blouse that looked one way when she was at one and another was when she was away from home’- Arnold Friend This quote relates to theme sexuality because Connie would dress different when she was out she would dress more appealing and show her body off she was a poser. She did one thing when she was at home and another when she was out with her friends. Connie was so into her appearance and how she looked.
GOOD VS. EVIL: SUNGLASSES ‘ But so far he hadn’t even bothered to glance at her. Both boys wore sunglasses. The driver’s glasses were metallic and mirrored everything in miniature’. - Arnold Friend This symbol Sunglasses relates to theme Good Vs. Evil because Arnold Friend was the devil, he was very deceiving and convincing. Arnold Friend convinced Connie that he was the god guy he smooth talked Connie and made her believe he was really into her. The Sunglasses symbolize Good Vs. Evil because he wore it to cover up his true identity which was a bad guy. When Connie looked at his glasses she probably seen cool-ness and mysterious but deep down he was evil and manipulative.
FAMILY: FATHER ‘Their Father was away at work most of the time and when he came home he wanted supper and he read the newspaper at supper and after supper he went to bed. This quote relates to theme Family because their was a lot of separation in Connie’s house. Connie’s father was not always around. When he was around he didn’t say much to anybody and wanted to be left alone. He was always working and to busy to do anything else.
