Exodus 3: 1 -10 • 3: 1 Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. • 3: 2 And the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. Believers sometimes make excuses not to serve God because they are afraid • Exodus 3: 11 - But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt? ” • What was Moses afraid of? – Pharaoh, being killed or imprisoned, being a leader • God’s answer – 3: 12 – I will be with you • What are you afraid of?
Believers sometimes make excuses not to serve God because they don’t trust who God is • Exodus 3: 13 - Then Moses said to God, If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, the God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they ask me what is His name, what shall I say to them? • Moses didn’t comprehend who God is – God’s power and what God could do

The real reason for not wanting to go – The first 4 reasons, not wanting to step out of his comfort zone, • God’s answer - Exodus 4: 14 -16 – I will send someone else • Are you willing?
