WHAT’S IN YOUR HAND?

Exodus 4: 1 -9 (NKJV) 1 Then Moses answered and said, "But suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice; suppose they say, 'The LORD has not appeared to you. ' " 2 So the LORD said to him, "What is that in your hand? " He said, "A rod. " 3 And He said, "Cast it on the ground. " So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it.

Moses lacked confidence in his own ability, he didn’t think they would believe him or even listen to him.

God says to Moses, “What’s that in your hand? ” “Cast it on the ground!” Ex. 4: 3

“Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. ” 1 Corinthians 3: 5 -8

The staff that Jesus uses to free, to guide to protect, and yes even to discipline His sheep, is the Word of God!
