Our Center Routine: Weekly visits to the center (approx 2 x) Corrections Students complete their assignments and fix them until there are no mistakes. Tests Students take a test once they complete a level (200 pages per level - sometimes content is repeated)
Our Center Policies Attendance - please call us if you will not be able to make it to the center. If you plan to take a vacation, please notify the person at the front desk so they can give you a vacation form to complete at least one week before your planned absence. Independent work While it is totally acceptable to help your child with their assignments, encourage them to try it alone first to help them learn to work independently. Layout The center is designed in a way to encourage independent learning - students are at their own desks, but in view of our graders if they have questions while they work.

Roles - Graders here to: Grade work and get it back to students Answer questions Support Ms. Bincy in her role Keep track of student time at the center but NOT tell students how much time they have left during their time at the center. Alert Ms. Bincy if there any issues
Roles – Ms. Bincy is here to: Observe students and their progress Work with students as needed during class Plan/adjust homework Move students on to new levels Meet with parents OUTSIDE of class hours Forms in the front waiting room Place students in appropriate levels
Kumon at Home Independence: It is up to your child to decide how much he/she wants to learn Encourage independent work Create a healthy workplace Quiet Proper supplies Routine Set aside a “kumon time” for your child Behavior issues at home: Healthy discipline at home makes for a more positive learning experience for your child at the center. Help only when they ask for help.

Rewards Program 100% rewards 5 names pulled each week Positive Attitude Two students chosen each month. Kumon point system Students earn points for each full month they attend at Kumon. These points are applied to each progrm in which a child is enrolled. Achievment tests Students receive $1. 00 when they pass an achievement test.

Awards Ceremony Advanced Student Honor Roll (ASHR) The Advanced Student Honor Roll recognizes students studying one to three years beyond their current grade level. Keep in mind that grade level standards are based on a global standard and Kumon standards tend to surpass those of most U. S. based schools.
Awards Ceremony Our center's annual awards ceremony Each year, we hold an awards ceremony to celebrate our wonderful students. This year's ceremony will be held th at Sunshine Community Church on Saturday, May 30.
