WHAT IS THE FISHER HOUSE? A comfort home, donated by Fisher House Foundation so that members of the military and their families may be together at the most stressful time – during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease or injury. There is at least one Fisher House at every major medical center to provide families with the comforts of home in a supportive environment.

About fisher house foundation Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher of New York founded the Fisher House Foundation, Inc with the intention of meeting a humanitarian need for our nation’s hospitalized military personnel, veterans and their families. 335, 000 families served since 1990 $407 Million + in savings to families since 1990 8 Million Days of lodging Our Fisher House hosted 1, 000 guests in 2018 (300 families loved) and have saved military families almost $1. 9 million since our opening in 2010.

Mission of FHEC Inc. • To provide needed resources for military families in crisis and also to enable these families to stay together when a member is being treated in the local area. • The mission of the Board of Directors of FHEC Inc. is to raise funds needed to support the FHEC Inc. Mission.

Fisher House Facts • Who is eligible to stay at the Fisher House? Active Duty, Retirees and Veterans from all branches of the military and their loved ones (any branch, any length of time) • Any local medical facility, military or civilian • There is never a fee to stay at a Fisher House • Average length of stay: 3 days • Longest stay at our House has been 13 months (oncology), next 11 months (Aaron Hale) • Since opening in September 2010, we have military families over $1, 950, 000 in lodging, provided over 500, 000 meals and transportation • In 2018, we hosted approximately 1, 000 guests, (300 families stayed together).

Meet our families = the impact of your care "I arrived here on 15 October 2018 for HBOT treatments, 40 - 1. 5 hour each. Today I will finish and return home. My stay at the (Eglin) Fisher House has been great. The staff and facility is above and beyond anything that this old marine is used to. May our good Lord bless this wonderful facility and staff, because they give so much love, respect and encouragement to our veterans and their families. My 40 HBOT treatments by Dr. Zant was a blessing to me. HBOT does wonders for PTSD, TBI and many other combat injuries. Blast concussion was one of my main problems plus radiation burns suffered during cancer treatments, agent orange problem. I ask God's blessing on all who assisted me to come out a winner. "

How Can You Help? • VOLUNTEER – prepare a meal for our guests, help with an event, serve on a planning committee for future events • Bake Cookies first Wednesday of every month • Be a NATIONAL DAY CHAMPION, i. e. , National Popcorn Day, Blueberry Pancake Day, etc. • Be a Cause Champion by hosting a fundraiser on our behalf • Host a Needs List drive – collect every day items we need • Partner by sponsoring an annual signature event • Contribute, donate on the website! It is provided at no cost to the families, is not funded by the government and relies on the community for support. It is available to any family with a member that has served or is serving in any branch of the military.
