Develop and repair of urban and rural communities Guarantee fair access to housing construction, offers loans and decrease cost of house repairs Mortgage insurance and rental assistance for low income families
What type of programs does HUD Offer? There are currently nine programs available to assist the housing and urban development: 1. Office of Block Grant Assistance ~ Offers grants to repair urban neighborhoods Alphonso Jackson Secretary Its intension is to improve quality life for low and moderate income people Provides loan guarantees for communities that qualify to buy property and improve publicly-owned property

HUD Homes This 180 unit high-rise apartment complex in San Pedro, CA is known as Harbor Tower. This project was built for the elderly and handicapped. All these one bedroom apartments except two are subsidized by a HUD program. A six resident group home known as the Harbor Gateway Project is in Torrance, CA. This beautiful home is well suited to the neighborhood and its residents. This is one of 25 out of 28 properties located on the Moreno Valley street that got much needed exterior home repair. Moreno Valley used a HUD Program to help property owners make changes.
HUD Homes Oxnard Terrace is a 132 unit family complex. This affordable housing is in Chula Vista, CA. Near Harbor UCLA Medical center is another health care facility in Torrance, CA. In this case the building is operated as a 127 -bed Skilled Nursing Facility. High atop a hill is Villa Alta. This 69 -unit, all one-bedroom, complex. It is one of the newest built for elderly housing in San Diego County, CA
