What is Service Learning? Service-Learning is … a teaching method under which students learn and develop through active participation in thoughtfully organized service that: ◦ ◦ Meets a need in the community or regional industry; Relates to student’s course work; Involves reflection on the student’s part; Creates a bridge between the university and the community/region/world around it.
