What Is Pride? Pride is a celebration of people being proud of who they are.

Relationships When someone is attracted to a person of the opposite gender to their own, they are known as being heterosexual. When someone is attracted to a person of the same gender as themselves, they are known as being homosexual. gender – being a man or a woman gay – means homosexual
LGBT+ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and plus. Lesbians are women who are attracted to other women. Bisexual is a word to describe someone who is attracted to more than one gender. For example, a girl might want to be in a relationship with another girl, or a boy. Transgender is a word used to describe people who feel the gender they were given at birth doesn’t match the gender they feel themselves to be. For example, someone who is born a boy, may feel like a girl. Plus is for anyone who doesn’t feel they fit into, or identify with, any of the other definitions.
Gay and LGBT+ Pride Gay Pride, also known as LGBT+ Pride, is a large group of people that fights negative attitudes and behaviour towards LGBT+ people. It is all about celebrating who you are and supporting gay rights.
March in Pride marches, parades and festivals celebrate the differences between people in our world and promote equal rights for all. They are held all over the world.
Rainbow Flag The rainbow flag, also known as the gay pride flag or LGBT+ flag, is a symbol of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender pride. Lots of people will wave rainbow flags at pride marches to show that they are proud of who they are and that everyone should be treated equally.
